Description

The #507 Cable Connector Set allows connecting your LX200-ACF, LX600, LX850 and AutoStar II handbox to the serial port on your Windows personal computer. Also compatible with LX200GPS and LX200 "Classic" (pre-AutoStar II). Length is 1.8 metres (6 feet).

This cable can also be used to connect and control your telescope to an iOS/Android device in conjunction with the Meade Stella Wi-Fi Adapter (SKU: 608003).

For use with AutoStar II handbox as supplied as standard equipment on Meade telescopes including:

LX200 ACF, LX200 GPS, LX200 Classic
LX600
LX800
LX850

Note: The #507 Connector Cable Set is not compatible with Meade AudioStar, AutoStar and AutoStar III handboxes.

Note: The #507 Connector Cable Set is not compatible with Meade DS-2000, StarNavigator, ETX, LXD75, LT, LS, LX65, LX80, LX85 and LX90 telescopes.

Windows PC connectivity

Allows connection of a Meade telescope to a Windows computer via a serial port using Meade or third party software. Software is not included. The Meade AutoStar Suite software, is available for free download at www.Meade.com.

When used with appropriate software it allows for telescope control from the Windows PC and downloading software updates.

Note: Computers without a RS-232 (Serial) port require an additional USB to Serial port adapter cable. The Meade USB to RS-232 Serial Adapter Cable (SKU: 07507) is sold separately.

iOS and Android connectivity

To control your telescope from an iOS or Android device the Meade Stella Wi-Fi Adapter (SKU: 608003) is required in conjunction with the Meade #507 Connector Cable Set.

The Meade StellaAccess app for iOS or Android devices is also a requirement. Please refer to the Meade Stella Wi-Fi Adapter product page for details.
