Description

The Opticstar XL Ultra Wide Angle eyepieces have an 82° apparent field of view and provide the highest optical quality and usability. These eyepieces are optimised to produce high contrast, high resolution and superior flat field all the way to the edge of the field of view. They are fully multi-coated with enhanced optical coatings and edge-blackened to produce maximum contrast.

Internal reflections are kept to a minimum because all internal surfaces of the eyepiece barrel are flat black, as well as the edges of the lenses themselves to minimize the scattering of light within the lenses themselves.

These eyepieces are waterproof and purged with argon, a non-reactive gas that protects the optical elements from fogging up. Furthermore, these eyepieces are parfocal.
